Read
The Man Who Died Twice
by Richard Osman
Summary: The Thursday Murder Club is back, and this time, the murders are personal.
My thoughts: Once this story gets going, it really gets going. It’s getting more puzzling and darker as we go on.
Read: Penguin Random House
Watch
Get Out
Summary: Chris is the first black man his girlfriend has dated, and he’s getting ready to meet her family. But “cultural” doesn’t some up the differences between him and them.
My thoughts: A movie that has well earned its positive reputation. It’s good, old-school horror in the sense that it will haunt you after its over, not just while its playing.
Watch: Netflix
Ricky Gervais: Humanity
Summary: Ricky Gervais has some thoughts to share, and he does it in usual spectacular fashion.
My thoughts: Gervais is one of my favorite comedians. I don’t like his uncomfortable rewards performances, but this is a great time.
Watch: Netflix
Listen
Amarica’s Constitution
Season 4, Episode 1 (Show 158): Section Three Punditry: The Good, The Bad, and The Silly
Summary: Constitutional scholar Akhil Amar continues to discuss section 3 of the 14th amendment, going into detail on its history, meaning, and applications today.
My thoughts: Professor Amar is an excellent legal scholar who makes constitutional law accessible. I don’t know that I agree with him on this particular issue, but one cannot deny he knows what he’s talking about.
Listen: Amarica's Constitution website
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
Summary: Introducing readers to the magical world of witchcraft and wizardy, we follow Harry Potter on his first year of magical boarding school at Hogwarts.
My thoughts: I am on an unabashed Harry Potter kick, and this audiobook is an excellent way to continue it.
Listen: Audible
Play
Hogwarts Legacy
Summary: Enjoy the magic of a 19th century Hogwarts, as a fifth-year student taking on the mystery of ancient magic.
My thoughts: I finished my first playthrough over the weekend, and I immediately started another. I adore this game.

Why I Didn't Watch Anything New Last Week, or Brief Thoughts on Comfort Media
I’m exhausted. The efforts of daily life have overwhelmed me this month. Going to work, trying to get myself to go to the gym, trying to get myself to go to the grocery store, trying to get myself to do the dishes or put away the laundry. It’s piled up, and I am under it.

Super delayed, but ever since this post I've been meaning to start Hogwarts Legacy and this week I finally did! I'm not very far into the game yet, but I'm impressed with how big of a world it is, and how well they bring you into it while still giving you freedom to explore from a very early stage. I think I actually spent more time customizing my wand than anything else so far in the game. And I honestly forgot it was before the events of HP because they seem to have some easter eggs from the series in the game (a cup with a rat's tail in the transfiguration classroom, for instance). Definitely curious to hear your thoughts on the main storyline/some of the side quests, too, or if there's anything else fun you noticed while exploring!
